The city of Izyum, from the beginning of April 2022 to September 2022, was under the control of the Russian occupiers and suffered huge human losses, with almost 90% of the city’s housing stock, infrastructure, historical and architectural monuments and the environment damaged.
But despite the fact that the city is officially recognised as a depressed region, people continue to live there and believe in its reconstruction and their recovery in it.
This is only possible if they will have at least the bare minimum – a home, food, and work.
